Community outreach trainings!

We sort of revamped our field plan locally over the past week, and have created amazing community outreach teams made up entirely of volunteers that want to play a big role in building support for the campaign in the next few days by talking and connecting with people. My team and I have trained over 100 people in the last three days alone, and its really exciting to think that they are going to be out and about all over the South Bay, Long Beach and OC, talking to people and spreading the word. I've done community organizing for quite some time now, and it never ceases to amaze me how effective and important this type of outreach is.

The diversity of those coming in for trainings is also impressive - recently married couples, retired grandparents, working professionals, high school and college students, members of the Long Beach community who are getting involved for family and friends - I think it says a lot about our movement when you really think about all of the people that have gotten involved.

A big thanks to everyone who attended a training - we can't wait to hear about your work!
